Training programme “Employees of God’s Love”

This programme trains family counsellors. They learn to interact with families that need support for various reasons and help individuals with their personal difficulties. They are also involved in family ministry and family pastoral care. In addition (and even above all), they learn to take care of their own families as a domestic church.

Students also acquire knowledge in the area of preparing couples for marriage and family life, as well as for the birth and upbringing of children. The programme includes in-depth training in fertility testing methods as well as in the ethics and psychology of family life.

Components of the programme

  • Formation retreats and seminars aimed at discerning personal vocation and deepening understanding of the chosen path.
  • In-depth learning of the fundamentals of the Holy Scripture in the family ministry, theological modules, Christian anthropology, professional ethics, Christian and social volunteering, fundamentals of social teaching and ministry of the Church.
  • Christian pedagogy and psychology (communication psychology, family pedagogy and psychology, in-depth learning of the fundamentals of Christian education, ethics and family psychology).
  • Fundamentals of Catholic theology of the family and methods of interacting with families in different situations.
  • Organisation of catechesis for brides and grooms, as well as pastoral initiatives for various target groups. Methods of preparation for the sacrament of marriage. Fundamentals of canon law, family law. Fertility testing methods.
  • Practical seminars and trainings (topical issues in family theology, social challenges, catechesis of brides and grooms and participation in the pastoral care of special groups; Christian leadership, use of media in professional activities).
