The support of European and other countries, including Italy, is essential for the courageous resistance of Ukraine against the criminal war of Putin, without getting tired, and until victory and a right peace.
The Ukrainian resistance is a war of liberation, full of Risorgimento spirit. This is the message of the book of Raffaele Luise (writer and dean of “vaticanists” of Rai, war correspondent and contributor of the “Osservatore romano”): “Ucraina. Dentro una guerra che cambia il mondo” (Marietti, Bologna 2023).
The book will be presented in Kiev, at Dominican Center, Derevlanska, 13, on Monday 25 September 2023, at 17:30, by Nuncio Visvaldas Kulbokas, italian Ambassador Pier Francesco Zazo and the Prior of Dominicans dom Petro Balog.
The book is the fruit of three voyages during three months in the first six months of the war in all Ukraine: Lviv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhia and the frontline areas in Bakhmut and Orihiv, Odesa.
The work is an emotional condemnation of the Russian invasion by the victims of thousands war crimes – above all women and children – but also by the Christian religions in Ukraine, and by the same Ukrainian Nature: by chernozem and its wheatfields , by birds, forests, rivers and dolphins. The Putin’s ecowar hurts all Ukrainian ecosystems and worsens the already serious climate global change.
