Biblical studies

We invite everyone who is interested and eager to get to know the Bible and those who want to deepen their knowledge in modular learning at St Thomas Aquinas Institute.

The best biblical scholars of Ukraine have united to share their passion for the Bible with you, to tell you how it speaks to each of us in the modern world. Based on biblical subjects, they chose the topics that provide answers to the challenges of our time, to the situations that everyone faces, to the questions that everyone asked themselves when reading the Bible in the best way.

The modular course consists of 8 modules and 2 finals periods. One module includes lectures once a month on Saturday and Sunday, 4 classes each day, which means 8 classes per module. Training takes place both at the Institute of Religious Studies and online. That is, you have a choice of how to participate in the modules. For those who cannot attend the lectures for some reason, lecture recordings are provided.

The tuition fee is UAH 5,000. During the finals periods, you can stay at the monastery’s hotel by prior arrangement.

Lecturers: Fr Petro Oktaba, Fr Vitalii Khrabatyn, Fr Roman Ostrovskyi, Fr Volodymyr Kusniezh and other invited lecturers in selected topics.

At the end of the year, a participant of the course receives a biblical certificate. In addition, the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas “Angelicum” has agreed to count the hours passed as its credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System – ECTS).

Biblical modular year begins in September 2024. The training takes place both in the classrooms of St Thomas Aquinas Institute and online via Zoom. Information on the admissions process is announced in May 2024.
