“Service for Those Who Protect” is a year-long training course on the basics of spiritual and socio-psychological support for the families of military personnel and veterans, which will be launched at the St. Thomas Aquinas Institute in Kyiv.
The aim of this course is to help individuals involved in serving the families of military personnel (including the deceased, missing, and prisoners of war) and veterans, as well as those who plan to be involved in such service, to acquire and properly apply the skills of individual and group spiritual and socio-psychological support.
The course instructors are specialized psychologists and trauma therapists, military chaplains, and clergy and laypeople experienced in military service.
Format: one training Saturday at the Institute and one online meeting per month (from September to May of the 2024/25 academic year).
