The library of St Thomas Aquinas Institute of Religious Studies is a place open to everyone who wants to plunge into the world of truth seeking, to learn about ancient and contemporary philosophers and theologians who make up the wealth of the Western Latin tradition.
The library was founded by the Dominican Fathers when the Institute began its activities, and since then the library’s collections have been constantly updated. First of all, it is designed for matriculated and non-matriculated students of the Institute of Religious Studies, but its doors are open to seekers of book wisdom who are not necessarily our students.
The main feature of the library of the Institute is its focus on the presentation of Western European philosophical and theological thought, biblical studies and spirituality, art and history. This goal is achieved through the constant replenishment of the library’s collection with quality books from both domestic and foreign publishing houses. In particular, the library contains literature in such languages as Ukrainian, Polish, English, German, Italian, Spanish and French, as well as texts of biblical books in ancient languages.
The library is located on the 1st floor of the Institute of Religious Studies at 13 Derevlianska Street. Here you can find a spacious and cosy reading room with free Internet access and the possibility to use copying equipment.
The search for the necessary literature can be carried out in the electronic catalogue or with the help of competent and polite librarians who will make every effort to find the necessary literature.

Library users are obliged to return books on time and guarantee copyright protection (for example, any distribution of materials without the permission of the authors, piracy and other violations).
If it is not possible to return the provided material in person, it must be sent by the postal service, delivery fee is paid by the user.
