Verbum Journal

Verbum is one of the projects of St Thomas Aquinas Institute, which has been operating in Kyiv for over 25 years.

Its staff and students decided to offer a new platform on the Internet to discuss the reality around them from the perspective of faith.

However, we seek not only to describe but also to shape the religiosity of the XXI century – conscious, mature, spiritually deepened, open to meeting the world around us, and socially engaged. This is the kind of religiosity that is based on the millennial tradition of the Church and is ready to meet the present.

In the context of “faith seeking understanding”, Verbum is a school of critical thinking that helps to understand the world through the prism of faith; an interdisciplinary laboratory for generating and transmitting Christian meanings, and expanding the intellectual and spiritual horizons of all those who seek the truth.

The journal brings together theologians, philosophers, scientists, journalists, artists, experts and opinion leaders who initiate public discussions on the most important issues in such areas as religion, church, culture, history, art, political and economic development, society, spiritual life and many others.
